Feb. 23--ROUNDHEAD -- When state troopers and sheriff's deputies arrived upon a crash scene that stretched a half mile on state Route 117 earlier this week, it appeared they had one large crash involving 35 cars.
Exactly how many people were injured and the extent of those injuries were unknown.
But, as it got sorted out, troopers and Hardin County sheriff deputies learned there were four chain-reaction crashes involving 10 cars. The other 25 cars went off the road Wednesday to avoid cars they came upon in the dense fog on a slick roadway just east of the Auglaize County line on state Route 117 near state Route 67.
