Feb. 23--A well-liked undercover officer who investigated drugs and prostitution "got clouded" from his life as an officer and became one of the people he was supposed to stop, police said. West Palm Beach Officer Michael W. Ghent, 36, was being held at the Palm Beach County Jail on Thursday on a bribery charge, four counts of soliciting prostitution and two counts of perjury. "From reading [the arrest report] he just got clouded from when he was a policeman and when he assumed his undercover role," said newly appointed Special Investigations Capt. Daniel Sargent.
