An international land-protection group could take the lead in Lane County's possible purchase of 1,200 acres from the Wildish Land Company for parkland near Mount Pisgah, officials said Tuesday.
The Lane County commissioners will meet today to discuss whether the Oregon chapter of The Nature Conservancy should take over what officials have called an increasingly complicated offer to buy the land from the Eugene gravel company for $26 million.
