A LaSalle Street investment banker who started a Chicago-based film production fund has picked his first feature subject: Bob Love, the former Chicago Bull who triumphed over stuttering and now makes his living as a motivational speaker.
Stephen Kennedy hopes to complete the project, estimated to cost $6 million to $7 million, within a year, though he says selection of a director and casting hasn't begun.
Jim White, a documentary producer and former Chicago television director who wrote the screenplay, says he shopped it to Hollywood, but "they said his story wasn't edgy enough.''
