When CAR magazine celebrated its 50th anniversary earlier this month, international motoring journalism icon Jeremy Clarkson hosted a special edition of his MPH 07 show at the birthday bash at the Coca-Cola Dome in Northgate.
But even as the festivities were in full swing, the team at Ramsay Son and Parker (RS&P) - publishers of the magazine - were aware they couldn't afford to rest on their laurels. Certainly not in an environment where print media are under increasing pressure from their electronic counterparts and where, even in the magazine sector, competitors are always around.
