-Dispute with Cisco over iPhone Name, Stock Option Back-Dating Issue Remain Apple Inc (Apple Computer until a few weeks ago) has settled an often-bitter dispute with the Beatles' Apple Corps Ltd over use of the apple logo and name--a matter that's lasted 29 years. Details of the terms were not disclosed, except that Apple Inc gets ownership of the Apple name and logo in return for agreeing to license some trademarks back to the UK-based Apple Corps for their continued use.

Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, the widow of John Lennon and the estate of George Harrison own Apple Corps, which the Beatles founded in 1968.
