When the time comes to update its 17-inch laptops, Apple always faces a challenge: How does it improve a machine that has just about everything?
In the case of the latest 17-inch Mac-Book Pro, the company stuck to the basics. Apple added the fastest Intel mobile processor available (a 2.33GHz Core 2 Duo), doubled the standard memory (now at 2GB), and boosted the hard-drive capacity (to 160GB).
