Texas League Named To List
AUSTIN-The Texas CU League reported it was named to the top 25 most powerful trade associations by the "Capitol Inside" website. The league moved up two spots to 17 from its' 19th-place ranking last year. TCUL also noted that no bank trade group made the list. But that doesn't mean bank trade groups are nowhere to be heard from in the Texas capital. TCUL reported that Texas bankers scheduled their "Banker Blitz" for Feb. 28, adding "maybe thinking we'd be in DC [at CUNA's GAC]," but several members of the TCUL advocacy team will leave GAC early to be in Austin on that day, "just in case they get silly and try to stir up any anti-credit ...
