Article: Raytheon to purchase German marine navigation business. (Anschuetz and Company GmbH)

Raytheon Co. has entered into an agreement to purchase the marine navigation business of Anschuetz & Co. GmbH, from Carl Zeiss, of Germany, the U.S. firm said yesterday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Raytheon expects to complete the acquisition, which is subject to German approval, by early next year.

Anschuetz, located in Kiel, Germany, manufactures gyro compasses, autopilots and steering control systems for the commercial and military marine market. Sales for 1994 of marine navigation products are about $60 million for ...
