Article: Democrats Could Alter War Funding, Hoyer Says.

The House Majority Leader last week indicated that Democrats could clamp down on wartime spending to influence the president's Iraq war policy.

During a Jan. 26 speech at the Brookings Institute, Rep. Steny Hoyer (D- Md.) denounced the president's execution of the war.

In explaining how House Democrats plan to move forward, one of the first steps will be to increase the level of oversight in Congress, Hoyer said.
