WASHINGTON _ President Clinton may be listing in the national public opinion polls, but he still enjoys the support of at least one significant slice of the electorate: those who vote in New Hampshire's Democratic primary.
A Boston Globe poll shows that though they would like Clinton to be tested in their primary in 1996, preferably by a more conservative Democrat, 68 percent of the New Hampshire voters who will play their traditional role as Democratic taste-testers think favorably of Clinton as a person, and 62 percent approve of the job he is doing in the White House.
