Feb. 27--Contra Costa supervisors today are expected to order the county administrator to conduct a "close study" of the embattled county Housing Authority's policies, practices and programs. The order comes as public pressure in East County mounts over claims of mismanagement, Section 8 fraud and other issues. In December, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development slammed Contra Costa officials for their inadequate management of the county's Section 8 subsidized-housing program.
