Feb. 28--Pennsylvania's Legislature has "stuck local taxpayers with outrageous property tax levels" charged an East Penn School Board member who testified before a state task force on school cost reduction Monday.
Charles Ballard said school boards face unprecedented challenges because of "short-sighted political maneuvering" in Harrisburg, including "passing the buck to local taxpayers, without basic understanding of the true costs of education in Pennsylvania."
