SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 4, 1995--Members of Alaska Airlines' frequent flyer program have a new avenue for earning mileage credit -- the telephone. Sprint today became a participant in Alaska's Mileage Plan.
As a charter offer, Alaska Airlines will award members of its Mileage Plan 10 miles for every dollar they spend on Sprint's residential long distance phone service -- "The Most(R)" -- in the first six months of a customer's participation. The 10-mile offer doubles the standard award rate of five miles. In addition, Alaska's Mileage Plan members who switch to Sprint will receive a 2,000 mile introductory bonus.
