Feb. 28--Jamestown will just have to wait to go up in space. With the launch of the shuttle Atlantis delayed by hail damage, a handful of commemorative Jamestown 2007 items have been grounded for at least a couple of months. Jamestown 2007, working with NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, had arranged for two sets of commemorative coins and a lead artifact from the settlement to go up in the space shuttle as part of the yearlong celebration of the site's 400th anniversary.
"The fact that they're going up in the space shuttle is more important to us than the actual date of when they go up," said Jamestown 2007 spokesman Kevin Crossett. "The year 2007, ...
