ORLANDO, Fla. -- Central Florida Educators FCU has created savings accounts to teach local foster kids how to save and learn about finances, a move the CU hopes might help grow its membership in the process.
CFEFCU is partnering with the City of Life Foundation, a local 501(c)3 charity that helps teens ages 13 to 18 make a positive transition into adulthood. CFE CEO Joseph Melbourne said City of Life officials contacted the credit union due to its extensive contributions to Orlando area schools.
