GREENSBORO, N.C., Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- J. Patrick Danahy, president and CEO of Cone Mills Corporation (NYSE: COE), today announced the formation of Cone Decorative Fabrics, a new division of Cone Mills. Richard Downing will be president of the division. Downing, who has been president of Cone's John Wolf Decorative Fabrics, a converter of home furnishings fabrics, will continue to be located in New York.

Cone Decorative Fabrics will begin construction in January of Come Jacquards, a new plant to weave jacquard pattern fabrics for Cone's home furnishings customers. The new plant, an investment of approximately $15 million, will be built in Rutherford ...
