KANSAS CITY, Mo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 5, 1995--UtiliCorp United (NYSE:UCU) Thursday completed its $75 million cash purchase of a 218-mile intrastate natural gas pipeline system in Missouri from Edisto Resources Corporation.
In addition to the intrastate pipeline system, UtiliCorp's purchase includes the gas distribut- ion system at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and a pipeline that crosses the Mississippi River north of St. Louis.
The systems will be managed and operated by UtiliCorp Pipeline Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of UtiliCorp that is based in Kansas City. Nearly all of the staff consists of former employees of Edisto's Missouri ...
