Mar. 1--ATHENS -- To save taxpayer money on construction projects, Limestone County Commission Chairman David Seibert said he wants the county to create a project manager position. Seibert said the position would pay $10.58 an hour. Ricky Thompson, a retired Delphi employee, now is acting as a project manager for the county on a temporary basis.
A project manager would oversee upcoming construction endeavors such as the courthouse and event center renovations. "We plan to have county workers do those jobs, so instead of hiring a company as construction managers, we might as well have our own project manager," Seibert ...
