PRESS: Polish, Jewish organizations apply for compensation for lost property

WARSAW. MARCH 1. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - Polish and Jewish organizations fighting for compensation for property illegally nationalized by Poland's Communist government after World War II have jointly applied to the government for full recovery of their possessions or their monetary value, the Polish daily Rzeczpospolita reported Thursday.

"I'll say this openly: We want 100% compensation for all properties left in Poland," Israel Singer, leader of the representatives of the World Jewish Restitution Organization, told a Wednesday press conference in Warsaw.
