Mar. 2--Police say a multimillion-dollar, multi-county shoplifting ring was broken up Thursday with raids at nine businesses and the arrests of about a dozen people. Summit County sheriff deputies and Akron police swooped down on the Gas and Save gas station and convenience store at Delia Avenue and West Exchange Street Thursday morning, arresting workers and confiscating items from shelves. The station -- which also cashes checks and sells groceries, cell phones, money orders and clothing along with dozens of other goods -- was one of seven small neighborhood stores in Akron raided as part of Operation Milkman.
