Ohio has long debated the issue of residency requirements and whether or not they should be imposed on government employees.
On Jan. 27, Governor Bob Taft signed into law Senate Bill 82 (SB 82), which will essentially overturn the many existing residency requirements found in charters and ordinances throughout the state of Ohio.
