A. J. Hyland is on stage.
He stands before an audience of 300-plus employees in the atrium of the Westlake headquarters of Hyland Software Inc., the makers of OnBase, its top-selling document management software.
An MP3 of Queen's "We Are The Champions" pumps over the building's PA system, wired to Hyland's laptop.
"Let's spin the wheel," Hyland says to an employee who joins him on stage. Hyland had just read aloud from a "thank you" letter from a Colorado OnBase customer praising the employee's service. He gets to spin the wheel of prizes, a weekly tradition at Hyland.
