Myth: Under European Commission law all fishing boats have to carry a stock of no fewer than two hundred condoms in order to ensure that fishermen have safe sex.
Fact: The only piece of E.C. legislation that even approximates this allegation is a directive making it compulsory for ships to carry a certain number of medicines to cover the crew's medical-aid requirements. This directive does not include condoms.
