"My Master" By Yves Saint Laurent for WWD
"Christian Dior was my master. The only one I recognize. I became his assistant at 18 and until his death, I shared his worktable. It was an incredible, moving experience to succeed him. It was in 1957, and I had just turned 21. Since then I've known other adventures and felt other influences - notably the influence of Chanel - but still, today, I recognize the sum of lessons Christian Dior taught me and everything I owe him.
