Mar. 2--A compassionate and dedicated physician, Dr. Dorval Carter never stopped thinking about the patients in his care, his family said.
"When a patient came in to see him, he would talk with them and listen to what they had to say," said his wife of 50 years, Vivian. "He would gather their history in that way. He loved his hospital. He loved his patients. It was his life."
Even when he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer early last year, he continued to care for patients at St. Anthony Hospital, where he served as the chairman of the obstetrics and gynecology department until his death. Dr. Carter died Saturday, ...
