Mar. 2--When retail developer Ben Carter announced that French couturier Louis Vuitton will be one of the boutiques featured in the St. Johns Town Center's second phase, the glitzy name elicited delighted whispers from the listening crowd.
Carter sprinkled several upscale brand names in his speech to about 150 people at an Urban Land Institute event Wednesday evening, all of which he says are committed to the project. Among them are jeweler Mayors, accessories powerhouse Coach, homewares retailers Crate & Barrel and Pottery Barn and pricey clothiers like Lacoste and Cole Haan.
