Mar. 2--MERIDIAN -- The Kimberly Bulldogs went blow-for-blow with the two-time defending Class 3A state champion Snake River Panthers, but Snake River came up just one point better. Putting up nearly identical stats, Kimberly dropped a narrow 56-55 first-round loss to the Panthers at Meridian High School on Thursday. "It was a tough game to lose," senior post Jason Mumm said. "Of course we stayed step-for-step (with Snake River). We're just as good. We should have won that game."
Tied at 55-55 with only 4.2 seconds to go, Evan Jerke fouled Snake River guard Aby Ibarra, who hit 1-of-2 from the charity stripe for the win. ...
