Mar. 2--CLAREMORE -- A Rogers County resident who worked for a county commissioner who was convicted last month of federal crimes has resigned.
Bruce Long, 38, submitted his resignation Tuesday, said Kirt Thacker, the Rogers County commissioner for District 3. Long had been demoted from road foreman to road hand by former District 3 County Commissioner Randy Baldridge, who was convicted Feb. 2 in federal court in Tulsa of corruption in office. Baldridge, who lost a re-election bid to Thacker in November, was found guilty on eight federal counts that included money laundering, mail fraud and attempting to obtain money by ...
