Post Office forced to beg for R30m.(Business Report Weekend)

Johannesburg - The slogan of the SA Post Office, "We deliver, whatever it takes", does not bear up to scrutiny when it comes to budgeting and infrastructure delivery.

Documents in possession of Business Report show an institution that is marred by financial incompetence.

The Post Office's budget of R95 million for its roll-out projects in the financial year to March lies in tatters and it has now been forced to go cap in hand to the national treasury and communications minister Ivy Matsepe-Casaburri for an extra allocation to cover a shortfall of R30 million.
