UKRAINIAN STATISTICS COMMITTEE RAISES GDP GROWTH ESTIMATE IN 2006 TO 7.1%

The Ukrainian State Statistics Committee has revised its GDP growth estimate for 2006 from 7% to 7.1%. Nominal GDP amounted to UAH 535.86 billion in 2006, the State Statistics Committee told Interfax-Ukraine. The committee said, however, that these are not final figures and that they may be revised. Nominal GDP grew by 26.2% in 2006 with the December-on-December inflation being 11.6% and the average annual inflation rate being 9.1%.
