Mar. 3--Thousands drive by the boarded-up brick structure at the corner of Fourth and Clinton streets each day. The innocuous, dreary building probably doesn't even register in most motorists' consciousness.

But while most see nothing but an old brick building, David E. Longest sees possibilities in the structure built in 1913 as the Lake Shore and Michigan Southern freight house.
