INTRODUCTION
Post Script's Annual Bibliography for 2005, like its predecessors, hopes to provide not only an easy point of access to the latest film and media criticism, but also a crude measure of recent trends. One useful way of gauging these currents of film and media criticism can be found in the special issues topics for the year, particularly those appearing in academic journals. While the range of special issues is, as we might expect, wide, we can see a few rather marked trends--in documentary, independent and experimental film, and international cinema.
