MonArk is one of the older names in aluminum boatbuilding, and a good part of its reputation came from building commercial boats for the oil industry. Most of us tend to equate commercial with ruggedness, and in this respect, TBM has first-hand experience. We had a MonArk Little Giant as a project boat for many seasons in the early Seventies. If we hit a dock with that boat, the dock came out second best. MonArk still builds commercial boats, but the recreational boat division was spun off to Brunswick a few years back.
