Mar. 5--Visitors to the Chattanooga Nature Center soon will have a bird's-eye view of the American bald eagle's home. Volunteers are working on building an eagle's nest fit for human visitors. "It's one thing to tell a kid (eagles) build nests 9 feet in diameter," said Cory Hagen, naturalist and property manager at the center. "It's another to take them inside." If it were possible to take a classroom of elementary school students to the treetops, they just might fit inside a bald eagle's nest.
