If the market's stumble last week continues, closed-end funds could start to look pretty good, TheStreet.com said.

Because closed-end funds trade on the market, they often can be bought for a price below their intrinsic value, the Web site said. If investors get nervous and sell off the funds, discounts can get even more attractive.

For instance, the Clough Global Equity Fund, which is full of good investment holdings, has dipped in popularity in part because of the market's recent troubles, TheStreet.com said. Now shares can be had for "less than 91 cents for each dollar of investment," and yields stand at an impressive 6.6%. ...
