Mar. 6--University of Connecticut men's basketball coach Jim Calhoun likes to say every year that he packs four different suits to wear when travelling to New York City for the Big East Conference Tournament.
The subtext always being that Calhoun wants a diverse look each night the Huskies play at Madison Square Garden because he's planning on reaching the Big East championship game in the four-day, 12-team affair. And six times in his Hall of Fame coaching career in Storrs, Calhoun has needed all four suits as UConn has won six Big East tourney titles and been runnerup three other occasions.
