FRANCE
Le Jacquard Francais, a table, bath and kitchen linen maker based in Gerardmer, is presenting several new lines, all incorporating the garden and its elements.
"In all of our themes, images of the garden are evoked," said Jean-Pierre Deval, sales director.
In Jeu de L'Oie (Game of the Goose), a tablecloth design which replicates a centuries-old French board game--"It's fun, the idea of a game at the dining table," said Deval--the garden theme is present, with a picture of a typical French garden in each corner.
For the kitchen, Le Jacquard has come up with two coordinating dishtowels called Le Potager du Roi (King's Vegetable Garden), and Jardinage (Gardening). ...
