Mar. 7--DECATUR -- Two Decatur brothers facing trial on Tuesday for armed robbery and attempted murder accepted plea agreements with the state and were immediately sentenced to prison. Christopher M. Johnson, 23, pleaded guilty to one count of armed robbery and was sentenced to 30 years in prison by Associate Judge Timothy Steadman. His brother, Tyrone J. Johnson, 24, initially declined a plea agreement with the state, and jury selection began for his trial. On Tuesday afternoon, he reconsidered and pleaded guilty to one count of armed robbery.
