However, that's what one movie buff paid yesterday for the ageing dinner jacket worn by Sir Sean Connery in the 1965 James Bond classic, Thunderball.
Not only that, the shabby tweed suit the Edinburgh-born star wore to play Harrison Ford's father in Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade went for [pounds sterling]26,400 in an exclusive sale of film and TV memorabilia.
The suit was expected to fetch [pounds sterling]1,000 to [pounds sterling]1,500, but forecasts went out the box office window as fans from around the world ...
