Mar. 7--NORMAN -- Cindy Rosenthal was elected Tuesday to be Norman's next mayor, outdistancing two other candidates. Rosenthal, a Norman City Council member from Ward 4, won with 7,963 votes, or 52.9 percent.
Trey Bates had 6,765 votes, or 45 percent, and E.Z. Million finished with 307 votes, or 2.1 percent. Incumbent Mayor Harold Haralson chose not to run for a new term, which will begin July 3. "For me, it's a very humbling experience to be chosen by the voters to lead the city and bring the city together," Rosenthal said.
