Emory University was founded in 1836 by the Georgia Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. (1) It is therefore perhaps not the most likely location for a world-class collection of primary sources from the sixteenth-century German Reformation. During the past few decades, however, several factors have contributed to the development of the Richard C. Kessler Reformation Collection.
