WASHINGTON (FNS) -- As President Clinton draws nearer to the June 3 deadline for his decision on whether to renew China's most-favored-nation status, the encouragement he is getting from the House and Senate to unconditionally extend its trading privileges is intensifying.
While the administration has given no clear sign of what its decision will be, some business lobbyists are expecting it could come as early as this week.
