An oil change isn't just something that helps your car run more effectively.

Apparently, changing oil may help your heart as well--that is, switching from other cooking oils to olive oil.

A study in the Sept. 5 Annals of Internal Medicine suggests that olive oil may be effective in lowering heart disease risk. While dietitians and physicians already recognized the heart-health benefits of olive oil, this latest research identified another component of the oil--antioxidants known as polyphenols--that confers these benefits.
