Struggling to score, Warroad turned to its power play for two third-period goals and beat Albert Lea 3-1 on Wednesday in the fourth Class 1A boys' hockey quarterfinal of the day.
The Warriors (20-8-1) took leads of 1-0 and 2-1 on goals with a man advantage by Jeremy Hahn at 27 seconds of the final period and by Bryce Ravndalen at 10:24. Ravndalen, a junior forward, also got the third Warroad goal, an empty-netter with five seconds left.
