Mar. 8--The city of Santa Fe's recent restructuring of water rates came in for more criticism Wednesday as Mayor David Coss held his latest Coffee with Coss session with local merchants.
Fred Libby, owner of the Haagen Dazs ice cream shop and Plaza Bakery, was among about 50 business owners who showed up for the event. "I'm paying $500 more per month than Coldstone Creamery," a nearby business, Libby told Mayor David Coss. "It's unfair."
Coss responded that the city spent two years reworking its water rates and still hasn't been able to please everyone. "We based the new rates on meter size," he said, adding he would look into ...
