Liquor commission wants to discuss downtown's night life.(News)

For anyone who's ever been in downtown Naperville after 10 p.m., the change in character, demographics and noise isn't news.

But apparently it is to the city's liquor commission.

A special meeting of "downtown stakeholders" will be convened at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the behest of the commission, headed by Mayor George Pradel.

Days after being shown a short video of a clogged Chicago Avenue sidewalk full of revelers waiting to enter a downtown bar by police officials, Pradel called for the summit.

He called it a "sort-of town hall" on late-night downtown.
