Dr. Joycelyn Elders, who was forced to resign as surgeon general after President Clinton learned she said masturbation should be discussed in schools as part of human sexuality, said she has no regrets about speaking frankly on the issue.
The former surgeon general, who had come under fire in the past, had always had the President's backing when her comments on drugs, abortion and Medicaid drew criticism from conservatives.
