Mar. 10--Facing a Marysville High baseball team that was playing its fourth game this week, three Wheatland pitchers combined to throw a one-hitter and the Pirates notched their first victory of the season with a 12-3 nonleague rout. The Indians' pitching staff gave up just four hits, but walked nine batters, hit six and threw four wild pitches. Marysville (5-4-1) led 2-1 after the second inning, but Wheatland (1-4) busted the game wide open with a five-run fourth inning on just one hit.
