LOS ANGELES, Jan. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Singer/guitarist Gilby Clarke has announced his departure from renowned hard rock band Guns N' Roses, and instead will continue to pursue his solo career as a performer and recording artist with Virgin Records.
Clarke's announcement ends his three year affiliation with Guns N'Roses, which began when he joined the group prior to their 1992 "Use Your Illusion" world tour following the departure of guitarist Izzy Stradlin. Clarke's announcement comes in the middle of a successful nationwide tour in support of his acclaimed solo debut album, Pawnshop Guitars, released in mid-1994 by Virgin Records.
